About Us

Pack 657

Cub Scout Pack 657 has been active in the Cary community for over 15 years. We are here because families like yours value what Cub Scouting offers- leadership, community, family, character development, and personal fitness. Scouts learn how to be good citizens, have respectful relationships, build self-confidence through achievement, explore through fun and adventure, prepare for Boy Scouts and much, much more. Pack 657 is dedicated to providing the best program for the boys and the entire family, that it can possibly be.

We are chartered by SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and hold most of our monthly Pack meetings at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic School. Dens meet about 2 or 3 times per month and have about 7-10 boys in each den.

Between August and February, Cub Scouts work towards rank advancement:  Tigers (1st Grade), Wolves (2nd Grade), Bears (3rd Grade); and Webelos I (4th Grade); and Webelos II (5th Grade).
During Spring and Summer, dens select their topics of interest from the Academic and Sports Program and various electives offered. All year round, scouts enjoy fun activities like sleepovers on a submarine, pinewood derby races, campouts, hikes, parades, go-and-see events and more.

Pack 657 is open to boys of all faiths.  Membership in SS. Peter & Paul Catholic church or adherence to the Catholic faith is not a prerequisite to joining Pack 657. Most Cub Scouts join the year that they will be entering first grade but boys are welcome to join at any age.

We are a very active Pack and welcome new scouts and their families.  We have a great thing going and would love for you to be a part of it! The time you invest in your son today will make a difference in the person he becomes tomorrow. Give your son a valuable gift by encouraging him to join Cub Scouting today.
